Should you hire a contractor or do it yourself?
Often a contractor’s fees to handle small projects can be prohibitive.
Gardner Handyman Service is often a better alternative.
When you hire us you will find that moving from one small project to another is cheaper than having us come back two or three different times.
With the so many needs in home remodeling, it’s often difficult to find a contractor who has time to do small projects. Here at Gardner HandymanService we bring you professional service.
First, decide the project
We love small jobs. But what is small? Answer: something that can be completed in one to three days. If you’re going
to re-side or re-roof your home, you probably need to find a reliable contractor who specializes in those areas of home remodeling.
But if you just need to put in a new sink or faucet, or want to install a ceiling fan or a new mirror in the bath, we can
handle it.
How much does a handyman charge?
We will provide you with a free no obligation estimate before tackling a project. A homeowner should never hire a handyman
until knowing the cost of the project, including parts. Typically, we charge $45-$65 an hour for labor. Some jobs are bid
on as a complete bid.
Make a list of all the small projects that need to be done
Have a list of all small home improvement projects handy. Once we arrive on site, moving from one small project to another is cheaper than having us come back two or three different times.
Make sure your Handyman is fully insured.
Did you know that you must make sure the workers you hire carry Insurance. Liability Insurance covers only damages. If a worker gets injured and has no workers compensation you could find yourself being sued by the worker.
Note: Always require insurance information before hiring a contractor.
